Craigslist ROCKS!!!

I have been using Craigslist.com lately to sell some odd items around the house and to sell some of my embroidery items that I have done. Needless to say I have made a little bit of money that I have been able to call all my own! It is so nice to be able to buy something you really want but don't really need and not feel guilty about it! So I have been saving my money to buy something for the boys or me if I saw something we really wanted!!! Well last week I saw this awesome playhouse on Craigslist for a GREAT price! I thought the boys would LOVE it! They have this old ratty play tent that they haul outside and pretent to play house(this is honestly one of the few times that they play nicely together)! So I inquired back to the guy not thinking he would respond, but he did and he even offered to bring it to us for free (since we had no way to haul it and he lived about 30 minutes away)! The kids were ubber excited! They played in it all day today after church with no fussing!!! It feels so good being able to buy things every now and then with money I have earned!! Hopefully we will get MANY more wonderful days of play out of it!!!

Memories!

Recently I have been looking through old pictures and wondering where the time has gone? In December Blaine and I will have our 7 year anniversary and WOW is has been an eventful seven years! The pictures bring much joy and tears as I realize how fast time moves. It brings a humbling feeling of gratitude to my Heavenly Father for the time I do have with my family and that I should cherish every moment! So here it is 7 years of marriage in a picture story!!! :) (Sorry this may be a bit long, but I could have added a hundred more and I didn't add alot of our first years together since it took so long to scan them in from pictures in the non-digital age! :)

What I have been doing!

So I volunteered to embroider pillowcases for the YW in our Ward for our YW in Excellence night (I am secretary in YW at church)!! Well little did I know how time consuming they would be :)!! I am susspose to do 15 pillowcases, (I think that is the biggest order for one thing that I have ever done)! SO it is Tuesday night(the YW in Excellence program is tomorrow night) and I only have 8 done. So I guess I will be up late watching the election play out while embroidering pillowcases!! Honestly I don't mind, I LOVE working with the YW and being able to help out with making something for them! I just need to stop waiting till the last minute! I have always had the problem of procrastination. Whether it was a talk at church or a test for school. I never prepared anything till the last minute!! I think I must do my best work at midnight!! LOL!!! :) Anyway tell me what you think about the pillowcases. I hope the YW like them!

From the mouth of babes!

Cooper always says funny stuff and I always forget to write it down, but tonight I just had to share!! This evening I was checking my e-mail while the boys were taking a bath when Cooper yells, "Mom I need to go Potty!" So I got him out of the tub, dried him off and sat him on the potty and then went back to the computer, well the next thing I hear is "Mom come wipe my hiney!" So I get back up hurriedly so I can get back to my e-mail and go wipe his hiney. As I turn to leave after putting him back in the tub he says with a BIG grin " THANK YOU for wiping my hiney and THANK YOU for wiping it SOOO FAST"!! That made me start rolling with laughter! First of all to be thanked for doing such an everyday, dirty, thankless job and secondly that he thought to thank me for being effeciently fast in doing the job! Oh, the simple things that make my day!!!

Trick or Treat!!!

Trick or Treating was such a blast this year! Mainly because Cooper was old enough to understand it and throughly enjoyed it! Cooper was Batman and Carter was Robin. The costumes were of Cooper's request and I worked hard at making them look like the real thing, but still reusable after Halloween. Cooper's was a black jogging suit that I embroidered the Batman logo on and then I made the accessories to go with it and Carters was a red onesie that I sewed an embroidered Robin patch to and added a cape (all of which could be removed to reuse the onesie and the jogging suit!) Blaine took them to a few house before dark, dressed in his scrubs, (lame costume Blaine LOL!!) because he had to go to work that night. Then later when it got dark I took them around the neighborhood. Cooper was a pro. He ran up to every house, rang the door bell and said Trick or Treat right on cue! He even managed a Thank You at most houses! Carter for the most part stayed in the stroller but he still got plenty of candy and he devored no less than 4 suckers before we got home! Their was one house decorated really spooky with music, ghosts, skeletons and a fake crime scene. Cooper was fascinated with the fake crime scene, he kept asking the lady where did that body come from and what happend?. She just kept saying it was pretend, but he wouldn't take that for an answer! He seiously was inspecting it to see if it was real! Cooper walked the whole way and didnt complain till the end when it was time to go home anyway. When they got home Cooper immediately dropped to the floor to survey his stash of candy! Cooper was pretty calm about eating a few pieces and then saving the rest, but Carter was not so sure about that. As you can see in the picture he was set on eating all he could stuff in his mouth at once!! I had to pry the suckers out of his hands so we could get ready for bed!!! I think every one had a GREAT time!!

I made Carter a mask, but he refused to wear it. This is the only Picture I could get with it on.
