5 week count down

Only 5 more weeks to go! I am starting to get nervous and excited all at the same time.  Nesting has finally kicked in and I have spent the last two days sewing and monogramming, organizing baby clothes, ordering the bassinet, and cleaning like crazy.  I still feel really good and love feeling my little gymnast kicking around in there.
35 weeks.

June Randoms

Visiting Papa and Gigi's house with cousins.
Cannon ball into the pool at Gigi's house or as Cooper says it Canyon ball. :)
Carter man at the pool!
It was hot, hot, hot so we spent most of our days at Gigi and Papa's lounging around the  pool.
Happy Papa's Day!!
Since Blaine was working Father's Day we gave him an early Father's Day celebration and then celebrated actual Father's Day with Papa.  So the boys called their second Father's Day celebration with papa "Papa's Day"!!
Happy Father's Day Blaine!! We love you!
Best DADDY ever as Carter puts it! :)
Cooper enjoying snow cones with a friend from down the street.
Handsome boys before church!
It amazes me how much they grow each time I look at their pictures.

Conquering his fear

For the past few years Cooper has been scared to death of swimming.  Don't get me wrong he loved going to the pool, but he would never really go under water, jump in the pool from the side or go near the deep end without freaking out.  So after much consideration, I decided to fork out the money and put him in private swim lessons and hope for the best. Well they turned out to be worth every cent.  I saw a HUGE difference in his fear level for the water and he did indeed learn to swim.  He now enjoys the pool like a little fish! I am very PROUD of you Cooper!!

I also put Carter in swim lessons not thinking he would really learn to swim, but not to be outdone by his brother he learned to swim also.  He now swims pretty well on his own, but still needs mom to watch after him when swimming.

Much THANKS to Alex Howard for doing such a great job with the boys. Here is her link if any Mobile locals are interested in swim lessons for their kids.

Make Your Own Foaming Soap

Ever wonder what to do with those foaming soap bottles after the foaming soap has run out?
I have had several people ask me about how to make your own foaming liquid soap to put back in the pump bottles, so I decided to post it on here. Plus, it will save you a buck or two refilling it on your own! :) You can do this with any regular liquid hand soap or dish soap (not concentrated). For hand soap I use softsoap in the big refill container. One of those will last me a year(or longer) refilling it this way(for two bathrooms). For dish soap I use any I get on sale or cheap. I can't tell you enough how much I LOVE foaming soap, because the kids use WAY less, don't make a mess with it and they scrub their hands way better with it. Thanks to my sis-in-law who told me about this a couple of years ago!!! :)
First you have to have the special foaming soap pump top bottles and regular liquid soap. I bought these bottles a year or so ago on sale and when they ran out I have been refilling them ever since.
Next fill a measuring cup with  1/3 cup liquid soap.
Then add 2/3 cup water.
Stir well!
Lastly pour into your foam pump bottles, give it a few pump to get it started and you are done! Now enjoy your cheap foam soap!!! :)

Beach Day!

My brother and sister-in-law vacation in Orange Beach every year and since it is only about 1 hour and 45 minutes away we always go down and spend the day with them at their condo.  I didn't take many pics since my camera battery was dying, but as we were leaving to go home in the evening I decided to stop real quick and take some pics of the boys. Luckly my camera battery held out just long enough to get a few shots.

And yes, Boomer(Carter's stuffed dog) came to the beach for pictures! :)  Carter was upset that Boomer had been left in the car all day and wanted him to be able to see the beach also!

"Please don't let me STINK!"

The boys are taking swim lessons this week and are doing really good.  But Carter has kept the swim instructor in hysterics from all of the funny things he tells her.  One of my favorite phrases he tells her quite often when he is a bit afraid to try swimming is "please don't let me STINK".  He means to say sink, but it always comes out as stink.  LOL!  It is most funny and she will keep asking him what did you say just to get him to repeat it!!  Finally after repeating himself one too many times he told her "I know I am saying stink wrong but I can't help it!!!! Gotta love the kid. :)

Getting Bigger!

Here is my latest picture at 31 weeks. I had to take it myself so not the greatest but you get the idea. Lucy is growing bigger everyday! I feel huge now, but know I will only get bigger!

Bring on the FUN!!!

School's out and summer for the Britts has officially begun!  No more early mornings or hectic schedules, only full days of  fun and sunshine!  We have plans for lots of pool/beach time and many trips to visit family.  Since Cooper got out of school we have celebrated two birthdays (Cooper's friend Tallas shares the same birthday with Blaine), visited my family in Hattiesburg where I got to love on my sweet, new niece Ellenie, got in some pool time, and celebrated Memorial Day with great friends! I LOVE SUMMERTIME!!!
Cooper's last day of school!
I am super sad for him to finish First grade, but Cooper is super excited to move up to Second grade.
We will miss his wonderful teacher! She did a fabulous job with Cooper's class this year.

Cooper's friend Tallas turned 7! Happy Birthday Tallas we had a blast at your party!

Blaine turned 31! Happy Birthday to my favorite man!

My new niece, baby Ellenie! She is just precious! Congrats Katie and Darren!

Pool time with cousins!

While in Hattiesburg we helped my sister-in-law finish moving out of their old house! We have so many memories of the kids playing there, it was kinda sad to leave it for the last time.
Snowcone party!

Hanging with friends for Memorial Day!
