Easter Outfits

Since Easter Sunday falls on Conference this year, we wore our Easter outfits last Sunday.  Before Church I wanted the boys to go outside and take pictures in their outfits.  No such luck! They were both full of energy and wouldn't stand still for 2 seconds.  :) So I just let them do their own thing and took some random pictures of them playing.
Both boys were totally enthralled with a bug they found. One of those rare moments, no fussing or fighting, just shear childhood wonder and curiosity !!

It must be the age!

For the past couple of months I had been attempting to let Carter's hair grow out for the summer.  I just love shaggy hair on little boys in jon-jons and sandels! But Carter had other ideas! Last week he decided to give himself a haircut, not once but twice.  You think I would have  learned to put the scissors away the first time.  He looked like a mid-age man with a receding hairline, because he cut two huge gaps on each side and  left the middle part long. LOL!! I still can't believe he didnt poke his eye or cut himself in the process, since he used my sharp hair cutting scissors.  Oh well, on to the short buzz cut. At least he is a boy and looks cute with whatever hair style he gets! The ironic thing is Cooper did exactly the same thing at the the same age and just a couple of days before I had made a point to tell Cooper  to not leave scissors out because Carter might cut his hair. It turned out I was the one needing a scolding for leaving the scissors out not Cooper.  At least Blaine and I got a good laugh at Carter's crazy hair and at looking back at pics of  Cooper's botched hair cut!
Carter's do it yourself haircut!
The new haircut, much better!

Hired Help!

It's that time of year again.  It's time to start mowing grass, pulling weeds, and trimming bushes.  Last year I  spent  ALOT of time taking care of the yard so this year I  decided to get some hired help. :)  He only works for short periods of time, and demands cookies and milk for payment inbetween jobs! He also needs a mid-day nap along with scheduled play time.  He has been known to break out into tears for no reason at all, but he is very generous with his hugs and kisses and he is one handsome dude to watch working hard in the yard. LOL!!:)

Time Out For Women!

This isn't even our vehicle! LOL :) We just saw it and thought it would be a cute pic!
A couple of weekends ago two of my sisters, sister-in-law, niece and cousin-in-law took time away from the kids and husbands to attend a Women's Conference(Time Out For Women) in Orlando, FL!  It was so much fun!  Not only did we get to hear some wonderful spiritual messages, we got to enjoy each other's company without kids running around!  We had a  blast traveling together, eating out, laughing non-stop, being silly, hearing messages of hope and inspiration, listening to wonderful singers, sharing hotel rooms, getting dressed  up, and taking pictures!  It was wonderful bonding time and I wish it could have lasted longer. I love my sisters/sister in-law and they were so much fun to hang with! We need  to plan another trip soon, I had so much fun!  Also, THANKS to my mom for watching the kids for us! We couldn't have went without her!
My hand made sign.  It was all I could  find in the car! :)
Eating at Perkins at 12:00 midnight!  We were starving, half crazy from lack of sleep, and being extremely  silly.
My favorite sister in-law!  She might as well be my sister!
