Homeschool Preschool

I always laugh when people ask Carter where he goes to preschool and he says "I don't go to preschool I go to homeschool"! :)  When Cooper was little I decided not to put him in preschool and to do preschool at home instead. So we would take 30 minutes out of our day each day to do preschool.  I did it with Cooper until he went to Kindergarten. I have now been doing it with Carter since he was 3. Carter has really enjoyed "preschool" and it is fun to come up with new things to teach him.  It is my one on one time with him and he really enjoys having moms full attention all to himself!

Carter  LOVES this dry erase board.  I highly recommend it for preschool age children. I think it is from Wal-Mart. It has other pages for learning numbers, letters, shapes, and simple addition.  The only thing is the Dry-Erase markers stain clothes or furniture so we have switched to the washable Dry-Erase crayons from Crayola.  Love them! They are a bit harder to wipe off, but don't stain and don't dry out like the markers.

My Boys!

I feel I have neglected Cooper and Carter since Lucy has been born with very few posts about what they have been up to.
I will start with Cooper.  He has  been playing soccer for the past month and has gotten better with each game.  I love watching him play! He is a good team player and loves to just play and have fun!
Cooper is still my kind/loving kid and loves to make new friends even though  he can't hardly ever remember  anybodies name! LOL!  He is doing really well in 2nd grade beside those hard spelling words that drive him crazy (like I said he has a hard time memorizing things)! :) He recently learned to tie his own shoes(YEA!)  and loves drawing/creating things to hang on his wall! We recently cut his hair short again and he looks so grown up now. Love my Coop!

Some of his creations.
Oh my,where to begin with Carter?  He is too smart for his own good!  :) The stuff that comes out of that kids mouth keeps Blaine and I laughing constantly! He can't sit still to save his life which results in way to many injuries.  I finally enrolled him in gymnastics to help control his overwhelming urge to jump/flip on everything and he is doing REALLY well.  He had a meltdown the second week of gymnastics, but now seems to love it and gets really excited when its gymnastics day. He is still my high strung, stubborn, loud, and overly sensitive Carter but he is learning to control his emotions little by little!
Latest injury. He somehow fell while peeing and busted his chin on the toilet. Blaine stitched him up at home and he thought it was the coolest thing that his dad could fix him!
Hanging out at gymnastics.

Halloween decorations

I love Halloween and so do the kids! We have a blast decorating the house and making fun Halloween treats.  I finally finished my mantle decorations thanks to a friend who helped me make the spooky blocks.  I found the idea  for the Halloween banner off another blog and  then created my own version of it.
Love the spooky blocks! Thanks Stacey!
I made tombstone rice krispies for our Bunco group. I though they turned out super cute. I made a whole bunch of  them but forgot to take pics so I  only got a pic of one that was leftover.
And I had to include a pic of Lucy wearing her skeleton pj's that Carter picked out for her. Carter has a pair of skeleton pj's also that he LOVES and wears non-stop. I will have to get a pic of them wearing them  together.
