Before/After

I love taking pictures and playing around with the settings on my camera! I am always trying to capture the  perfect picture. Carter is usually my subject matter of choice and  he dosen't seem to mind as long as there is a bribe of candy to go along with it! :) Usually after I take my pictures I play with them in the standard photo editing software to change  lighting, color, brightness, contrast or what not to make them look better.   Lately though I have been intrigued with more complex photo editing software.  The only issue is the price and since I am not wanting to spend that money right now, I started searching online for a free program and came across http://www.picnik.com/. You can only download one picture at a time and the options are limited unless you pay for a membership, but they have some cool free options.  I played around with it today and loved the outcome! Go try it for yourself  it was so fun to play with the different  photo options! It's kinda like photo editing made simple!

Ava's Blessing

Baby Ava (Ben and Angels baby) was blessed on Sunday in Red Star! Ava was so cute and all of the Britt family made it down to celebrate!  It has been a long time since everyone has gotten all together. It was so nice to have all the brothers together and all the babies to love on! Happy Blessing Day Ava!

Traveling Snow Day!

Last weekend the South received a freak snow storm that blew through a few of the southern states.  All morning  I sat glued to the news watching and waiting to see if it would come to Mobile!  As the southern region turned white with snow, Mobile remained snowless and we had given up hope. But then for no more than 10 minutes we received big, fat flakes that dropped from the sky like manna from heaven.  The boys were overjoyed and flew outside to play in the icy, wet stuff. When it didn't stick and  it only  lasted for a few minutes, we decided to drive to Blaine's parents house in MS early (we were already going there on Sunday for Blaine's nieces blessing) where they had received 3-4 inches of snow.  On our way there we stopped through Hattiesburg, MS at my brothers house and enjoyed the snow there also!  When we got to Blaine's parents house it was night time so the boys couldn't see the  snow, but when they awoke the next morning everything was covered  in glistening, white snow! I don't think I have seen that much snow in the South my whole life.  It was fabulous and everyone had a blast.  I think we went through every pair of socks, shoes, and gloves that day.  The  boys just  kept wanting to play no  matter how wet and cold they were.

A rare moment of a southern lawn covered in snow and the whole family smiling at the same time! LOL :)

GO SAINTS!!

I don't get excited about football much, but when the Saints made it to the Superbowl I decided it was a great excuse to throw a party!!  I decorated all in black and gold, cooked some yummy food and invited a few friends over! I even actually got into the game and was cheering the Saints on the last quarter! The Saints made an awesome comeback and we were very excited to celebrate them winning their first Superbowl!

Say What?

Cooper came home from school today excited and bursting to tell me something. When I finally got a second to listen to him he said "You know tomorrow is Grandpa day don't you?" Grandpa day I say,are y'all having a day for grandparents at school tomorrow? At this point I start worrying they are having a Grandparent day and I didn't remember and Cooper will be the only one at school without a Grandparent. But then I reassure myself Grandparents day is sometime in September and I need to further inquire with Cooper. Then Cooper proceeds to say "you know mom when Grandpa will go outside and see his shadow". And that is when it dawns on me, NOT Grandpa day, but Groundhog day. Poor guy he went around school all day thinking tomorrow was a special day for Grandpa to go outside and see his shadow!! LOL :) KIDS.....

This kid...

loves, loves, loves trains! He knows the names of all the Thomas the trains and will quickly tell you if you call one by the wrong name! :)
has the saddest, loudest cry of any two year old!
has the biggest, happiest grin of any two year old! Seriously he has a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde personality. Happy one minute, sad the next!
is one of the cutest kids ever! But hey, I am a bit partial! :)
loves shoes! Mommy's shoes, Daddy's shoes, Cooper's shoes, his shoes it dosen't really matter he just loves shoes!
loves playing outside! He asks me at least 30 times a day "Go outside mom?" Rainy days are the worst for him. He will sit by the door just looking out the window, wishing to go outside.
makes messes and goes non-stop until he passes out wherever he is! After giving him a bowl of popcorn and putting a movie on, I found him passed out on the bean bag chair with popcorn everywhere!
is always getting hurt, but bounces right back! Some how he managed to get a HUGE splinter. YIKES! He was a very sad little boy while daddy got it out, but as soon as it was out he got a big smile on his face and looked at Blaine and said "Daddy make it all better?!"
is very loving! He loves giving Henry big hugs and kisses and dosen't mind the slober one bit.
is extremelly silly! He found a fun way to eat his oranges.

But I LOVE him and he is a joy and a blessing in my life!! :)
