3am and I can't sleep

Just thought I would post some random pics since I'm wide awake early in the am. Enjoy!

Lucy trying to listen to her heart like daddy does.
Cousin Ellenie and Lucy enjoying some oatmeal together.
Carter trying to teach Lucy how to make a silly face.

Cooper helping me vacuum in his Mickey Mouse Wizard hat! :)

My soda "POPS" I made for my Sunbeam class to give to their dads for Fathers Day! I thought they turned out cute!

Side by side

When I realized I had a pic of me in the same shirt/same position I thought it would be fun to do a side by side comparison of my belly at 34 vs 39 weeks. Do you notice any difference? :)

I don't seem to grow out front much just sideways and all around .

Keeping busy-39 weeks

Since I am officially pregnant longer than I have ever been before I guess I should document it! :) All of my previous babies were born 39 weeks on the day. I am now 39 weeks and 2 days and just patiently waiting for any sign that this baby is on its way. My belly dosen't seem to be sticking out any farther just expanding to the sides. I actually feel great! The baby seems to have dropped as I can breath really well now and the heartburn is gone.

Since Lucy loves to pull up my shirt to see the baby and kiss on it, I wanted a pic of her loving on my belly. This was the best I could get! LOL :)

As for waiting, I have been trying to do anything to keep busy and not worry about when the baby will come. For some reason I have gotten on a sewing kick after not sewing for most of my pregnancy. Lucy has been the generous recipient of my sewing projects!

Lucy actually let me put pig tails in her hair!!! So freaking cute!

Lucy is ready to be a big sister!

As for keeping the kids busy we've been spending lots of time at the pool and eating plenty of icecream! :)

Both the boys are swimming very well now. They are like little fish. It makes it nice not to have to worry about them swimming around the pool.
I need to get some better pool pics but I keep forgetting to bring my camera.
We spent the day with my mom and dad one day this week. The boys LOVE going to Gigi and Papas house!! Highlight of the day was helping Papa fix the lawn mower.
Lucy is finally warming up to Gigi!

And last but not least a random pic of Lucy being all her princess/drama/silly self! She is such a mess. This pic says it all!!

38 weeks

Aghhhh..... I'm not ready! How is it this close to my due date already? For some reason this time around I have not gotten anything ready for the baby yet. I think I have been focusing so much on getting everything taken care of with the other kids that I have neglected the fact that I will soon have another little one to care for that needs diapers, clothes, a place to sleep etc. Oh well, ready or not, baby Lathen will be here within a few weeks!

Weekend getaway/hubby's b-day

Since Blaine (my hubby) is less then a year into his practice opening and we have a baby due soon, he didn't want to take any time off this year for a vacation, so instead we decided to take a Memorial Day weekend getaway for his birthday. We traveled up to north AL to Cathedral Caverns/Lake Gunnersville. We have been there before but without the kids and thought the boys would enjoy some caving and hiking.
Lucy wasn't sure about riding in the backpack at first, but she soon loved it.
We had some time to kill before the cave tour began, so the kids did some posing for me!
Love this pic of my favorite people, even if Blaine has his fake smile on! He tries to bear with me as I take fifty million pictures! :)
At the entrance of Cathedral Caverns, AL.
If you have never been to a cave before this is a really cool, easy cave to start with. Its really kid friendly. The boys loved it!
These pics don't do the cool formations inside the cave justice
Carter laying on the cold rock
Blaine acting silly
End of the cave tour family pic. Lucy was passed out in the backpack by his time.
Enjoying rock candy suckers after the cave tour.
They boys had fun mining for cool rocks at the mining station.

The next day we headed out to Desoto State Park for some hiking! I am not a huge fan, but the boys and Blaine LOVE hiking and exploring.

Lucy liked riding as long as Blaine kept moving or bouncing her. She didn't like sitting still.

Proof I was there and hiked up and down the rocky slopes while pregnant. ;)

Blaine acting crazy and Lucy having a panic attack!:)

Blaine showed the boys how to climb some of the rock walls, scaring me to death. Cooper was like a spider monkey and made it to the top on some of the lower ones.

After a couple of trails we stopped by the camp store for ice cream and a look at the nature center.
Lucy loved watching the bunny! She didn't want to leave.

Later that day we had a picnic dinner at Desoto Falls. It was a really neat waterfall, but with nothing but a thin rail to keep Carter and his crazy self from falling over we didn't stay close by for too long.

When we got home we had a little birthday celebration, since no birthday is complete without a cake!

Happy 33rd birthday Blaine! We love you!
