We LOVE you Aunt Autumn and Aunt Shari!

Since Blaine is working alot lately and we usually are by ourselves the boys and I decided to go spend the weekend in Hattiesburg, MS with my sister and my brother/sister-in-law(I really go to visit my sister-in-law not my brother). Sorry Aaron your just not as fun as Autumn. LOL! :) We haven't been in a long time, with so much going on, but I finally managed a free weekend. The boys LOVE going to visit everyone in Hattiesburg. They get to play with their cousins and pretty much do whatever they want since there are too many kids running around to keep track! :) Plus I love going because I get to visit with my sister and her family and hang out with my sister-in-law and her kids!! We tend to have a weekend long marathon of projects and stay up way too late until we are too tired to see straight!! We spent all day Saturday sewing an outfit for my niece and then that night stayed up tie-dying socks for my sister-in-law's YW. Yea I know, tie-dyed socks you say??? But her YW thought they were cool so that is all that matters! On Sunday I went to church with my sister-in-law and then everyone met back at my sister's house to eat lunch, potluck style. Anyway we had a blast and I am so glad I have family close enough to make a weekend trip. I really love hanging out with my sister and sister-in-law. I can't wait to find another free weekend to go and visit.
Our tie-dyed socks. They turned out really funky and weird!!

The outfit we made for Anna Claire.

Adam and Carter playing together. They are a mess!! I can't believe I didn't get more pictures of the kids playing. I don't seem to have any pictures of Cooper playing with Anna Claire, oh well next time!

Cooper's first day of Kindergarten!

Yesterday was Cooper's first day of Kindergarten!! He was so excited and nervous all at the same time. When we got to school he found his seat and his hook and met a few friends that sat next to him. He then gave me a big hug and turned around and started chatting with one of his classmates. That was my cue to leave and that he would be perfectly fine! He looked so big sitting at the table with all of the other kids. :) Carter and I went home to an empty house that was extremely quite without Cooper's jabbering. It was weird at first, but I soon realized that Carter LOVED having me all to himself and was a much happier kid with no one to contend with for toys. I did miss Cooper throughout the day, but it was so nice to just have one at home. Carter also missed Cooper, asking for him occasionally, but overall I think he liked having the house to himself. When we picked up Cooper at school that afternoon, he immediately told me how much fun he had and that he couldn't wait to go back tomorrow. That made me feel at ease about him going to Kindergarten and was glad he had enjoyed his day! ;)

All dressed in his school uniform. Isn't he just the CUTEST?!

Very excited and ready to go!

A funny story about his teacher: I had been telling Cooper his teachers name over and over trying to help him remember her name (he has a hard time remembering names). So I kept saying Mrs. Turner, Mrs. Turner Cooper, remember Mrs. Turner. So as we were on our way to school I asked him what his teachers name was. He replied I know it mom. It is Mrs. Screwdriver. LOL!!!!! :) For some reason he associated the screwdriver (whose name is Turner) on Handy Manny (a cartoon show) with his teacher Mrs. Turner. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. All I could say was Cooper please don't call your teacher Mrs. Screwdriver. When we got to school I told the teacher that Cooper has a hard time remembering names so if he called her something crazy that day just ignore it. She laughed and said I will remind him today that my name is MRS. TANNER so don't worry!! That is when I got red in the face, because I had been calling her Mrs. Turner. :0 Like mother like son!! :)

Happy Birthday Cooper and Carter!!

My boys are getting so big! Cooper turned 5 on the 28th of July and Carter turned 2 on the 7th of August. Since their birthdays are so close we had a combined party for them this year. We had an Elmo theme for Carter and Kung Fu Panda theme for Cooper. We rented a blow-up waterslide for the kids to play on outside, had cake, popsicles, a pinata, lots of candy, and goody bags. The boys got lots of presents and were so excited to play with all their new toys! After the the party was over, Carter fell asleep watching his new Blues Clues movie so Blaine and Cooper went outside and played on the waterslide together. Blaine would bounce as Cooper would go down the slide, which would throw Cooper high up into the air! Cooper LOVED it. They had a blast sliding together!

I never got Carter to get on the waterslide. He was more content to play in the sand box.

Two mischievous little boys!

My sister-in-law stopped through the other day with her kids on their way back from Vacation. Her little boy (Adam) is the same age as Carter and as all almost 2 year olds they are full of energy and are always getting into something. I caught this picture of the boys together and their facial expressions just say it all. I wonder what those little minds are conjuring up to get into?

"Where is your poot Carter?"

One day out of the blue Carter pointed to Blaine's belly button and said "poot". Then everytime he saw his bellybutton he would say "poot" and strain trying to get a poot out. Now everyone's bellybutton is a poot and he seriously thinks that is where his poots come from. He is so funny when he has gas and poots, he yells really loud "POOT" and points to his belly button! Blaine and I think it is too funny to correct him, so we continue to let him think that poots come from his bellybutton! Crazy kid!!

Showing me his "poot".

Your Welcome to Come Out Now Baby Bryson!

I hosted a baby shower for my friend Jennifer last Saturday at my house. Besides the change of venue and the downpour we had a good turn out and had alot of fun! We had lots of yummy food, cake, punch and some super fun games! Thanks Carrie for the fabulous games. Jennifer has had her other babies early and was having contractions a couple of days before the shower. I informed her that she could not have the baby till after the shower! LOL! :) Baby Bryson seemed to hear the plea and decided to wait till later! So Baby Bryson if your listening your Welcome to come out any time now!!! :)
