November Randomness

Just a bunch of random pictures of November fun with the Britt boys!
(Coopers smiley face food art)
(Carter's I'm just having fun with my food art)
When the boys finished dinner one night (pizza and fruit) I found they had left me some food masterpieces!
We headed to the mall one Saturday for their big Christmas shopping kick off to have a little fun. It was crazy crowded but the boys got to see Santa Clause, paint pictures, make Christmas cards and other fun stuff for free.
While eating at the mall the Chick-fil-A cow made his rounds and Carter was super excited to give him a hug. After he gave him a hug Carter said "cool mom, cows are so soft!" :)
We couldn't leave the mall without getting a pic of  Cooper's car! He couldn't believe that a car had  his name on it!
Mmmm, bite size smores.
While Carter was taking a nap one Saturday Cooper and I took all the tiny Hershey bars out of their trick or treat bags and invented these tiny smores with vanilla wafers instead of  graham crackers!
DELICIOUS!!!!!
Cooper before school wearing his new school vest with our thankful leaves we made for FHE! I just thought he was cute  in his vest!

Lastly a pic I found that Cooper had drawn of Thanksgiving with our family! I love how he has Carter saying I am hungry! I hope everyone has a wonderful, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Spending the day with Cooper!

Last week I was able to go on Cooper's field trip to the Estuarium on Dauphin Island with him. My friend Jennifer kept Carter so Cooper and I could enjoy our time together. Thanks Jen! I got to ride the bus with him and  loved  watching him  interact with his clasmates.  They were so silly and loud! :) It was alot of fun getting to know his friends from school that he talks about all the time. At the end of the day when it was time to go home Cooper said to me "mom, I am sure glad you came on my field trip with me. I had alot of fun!". That just made me day! I really need to make more one on one time for him.
Cooper is not one for dead disgusting creatures,so one of the girls thought she would scare Cooper a bit with the petrified octupus. YUCK!!!
Silly faces at lunch!
This shark could eat my whole head!
Cooper and  friends at the fish tanks.
Cooper and mom! I had such a blast hanging out with you Cooper!

Playing dress up!

I really wish I had a little girl to dress up with ribbons and bows and all things pink, but since that is a no go in my house, this is the next best thing.  I finally took a break from sewing for everyone else and made Carter a few outfits. Then I had him try them on for a fun photo session. Amazingly Carter likes doing this as long as there is a bribe to follow. Since we have PLENTY of Halloween candy that he can't wait to get his hands on, he was game for enduldging mom with a few moments of smiles and cuteness for a treat or two or three!!  I seriously love this kid!
He really likes this outfit since he thinks dinosaurs are really cool right now!
While wearing  this outfit he kept telling me "C is for Carter, right? NOT Cooper!?".I  think after getting so many of Cooper's hand me downs he likes having special outfits made just for him.
He loves pointing to the letters on his shirt and spelling his name.

Trick or Treat Fun

On Friday night we had our Ward Halloween party at church. We ate yummy chili and had a fun night out  with church friends. The boys got  to trick or treat around  the church and loved running around with their classmates from church. Then on Saturday we went to Hattiesburg, MS for Halloween, because my nephew came home from his mission and they were having his homecoming party on Sunday.  So we stayed with my sister for the weekend and went trick or treating with my sister-in-law and her kids. It was alot of fun getting to see my nephew again and for the kids to get to spend time with Aunt Shari, Aunt Autumn and all their cousins.
The boys kept asking me what I was going to be for Halloween,so for the ward Halloween I humored them and dressed up like cat woman. Seriously, don't laugh it was for the kids! :)
This is the only pic I got of Carter spreading his costume out so you could see all of it.
This is a funny pic from the Ward Halloween party.  When Carter realized you could  bob for apples from a string, he gave  Blaine his candy bag and raced over to the apples. He was determined to get him an apple. He  finally did with a little help from mom! :)
Trick or Treating in Hattiesburg with all their cousins!
We were a motley group!
We had a dracula, a ghost,a spiderman, a super woman, a cowboy, a Pirate, a bigfoot, a trashcan and a baby frankenstein!
Count Dracula and the friendly ghost!
Carter wouldn't put his treat bag down so I could get a good pic of his costume all spread  out. I think he was afraid he would lose his candy! LOL :)
Count Dracula  in his finest!

Riding the hay ride!

Riding the hayride was Carter's favorite  part.
He would go get his candy and then hurry fast back to the trailer, worried it would leave him!
After trick or treating we headed back to Aunt Sharis house where we were greeted by Aunt Shari and cousin Ryan dressed up in their Korean wear that Ryan had brought home from his mission.
This was Cooper's favorite part! He sorted and went through each candy picking out his favorites!

School Fun!

This week was spirit week for Cooper at school.  They are still pretty strict about wearing uniforms (most of the spirit days were simple like crazy sock day or sunglasses day while they had to still wear their uniforms), but on a few days they let them ditch the uniforms and dress up. They also had pajama day but I forgot to get a pic.
Camo day.
Book character dress up parade.
He choose The Berenstain Bears and the Missing Dinosaur Bone.  He dressed up to look like the bear detectives with their hound dog, Snuff.  He had a detective hat, a detective  kit, a magnifying glass to spot all the clues and a trusty hound dog to sniff  for clues like in the book. The toy dog pulled behind him was his idea. I thought it turned out so cute!
Random pic of Carter after the parade at Cooper's school. He wanted the puppy and him to get in on the pics also!

Pumpkin Carving

Monday for FHE we carved a pumpkin. Blaine always draws the face and carves it while the boys get to  scoop out  the "guts". This year  Cooper was totally disgusted by the pumpkin guts, but Carter loved it. Carter would reach his hands in and scoop it out all ooey and gooey but Cooper preferred the cleaner method of using a spoon and would have rathered not to get his hands icky! Blaine's mom came  down for a few days so we had a special visitor to help out with the pumpkin.  It was alot of fun to have her  around to chat with and the boys loved spending time with their Grandma! Thanks, Sue for coming for a wonderful visit. I just hope we didn't wear you out to much! :)
Daddy concentrating on drawing the pumpkin  face.
Can you see how totally disgusted  Cooper is by the slimy seeds.

What are you going to find Carter?
Pumpkin "Guts"!
Finished Product!! Carter was trying to make the same face as the pumpkin.

It's been awhile.....

I know, I know. I have been neglecting my blogger duties! :) I have just  been super busy lately, with   embroidery orders and Halloween things for my boys(their costumes are almost finished and I think they turned out fabulous!). Plus my camera is still not back from the repair shop (within the next week hopefully) so I have been using a cheapo camera that dosen't take the best pics. Anyway with Halloween approaching I  just had to post some pics of the boys even if they aren't the greatest  quality. I serioulsy love this time of the year and we  have been  blessed with fabulous weather to make it just perfect.
They were excited to finally get to wear their Halloween shirts I made them! I hand appliqued Carter's shirt on  a regular sewing machine because I couldn't  find a machine embroidery applique like Carter wanted, never again, it was so much work. I think I  am spoiled with my embroidery machine to  do most of the work for me! :)
To decorate the front porch for Halloween the boys dressed up in their super hero cape and bateman cape.  They were so cute and were having a blast hanging  fake spider web from the porch.
Carter is so excited for Halloween this year! He keeps telling me over and over he wants to be a ghost for Halloween ,so of course I had to make him a ghost shirt to wear! He wore it to story time at the library and kept showing all the kids his cool ghost shirt.
