$125.00 worth of Mardi Gras FUN!

We had a blast enjoying the Mardi Gras parades here in Mobile! The kids had so much fun trying to catch the throws, dancing to the music, and just hanging out with their friends! The day before Fat Tuesday my friend Jennifer and I took our kids to one of the more kid friendly parades. We got there early so we had plenty of time to find a perfect spot, eat our lunch and just let the kids play. We had such a great time! The parade was really good and the kids got alot of throws to take home. We then loaded everybody up and headed home. Well as we got closer to where our cars were susspose to be we realized they were missing. In total confusion we asked a cop where in the world would our cars be? The answer to our question, was not what we wanted to hear. Our cars had been towed for parking on the street. We had to ask a random lady to help one of us get to the tow place so that we could pick up one of the cars and then drive back to get everybody else. It cost us $125.00 per car to get our cars out of lock up (by the way we parked on the street to save $10.00 at the parking lot)LOL!!! :) When we finally got everybody loaded up and got back to the tow place to pick up the other car we were exausted, exasperated(at the lack of help from the cops), and laughing at the humor in the whole situation. So we took a picture in front of the tow building to remember the Mardi Gras parade that cost us $125.00. After spending $125.00, I had to get the most for my money so on Fat Tuesday my sister-in-law came down and we went to the parades again, this time we made sure we parked in a tow-free zone!!!
Chowin down on some Moon Pies!

The lovely vehicle claims building where the cops were SO HELPFUL(sarcastically said)!!!

Gotta eat some MOON PIES if you are going to party in Mobile!

LOL...oh my that is so funny and crazy at the same time. I can't believe they towed your cars! Despite that, I am glad you guys still enjoyed Mardi Gras. It really is a fun holiday.

Who is this crazy friend of yours who would convince you to park in a no parking zone? Oh that's me! I am glad you can look back and laugh. It was a fun $125 day. Thanks for going with us.
