Crawling

Lucy is officially a crawler. She is still slow moving (thank goodness) because my house is definitely not baby proof.  Although proud of baby girl for figuring out this new skill, I wish she would have stayed my cuddly baby for a bit longer. She no longer is just content to sit on my lap but instead wants to stand up with help or be put down to explore. She now can follow me into the kitchen or pull up on the couch to see what is going on. Her wanting to pull up on everything is driving me nuts because she is still not 100% steady so she tumbles backwards from time to time. I have to watch her constantly. Whenever the boys see her pulling up on something they immediately rush to her to catch her in case of a fall and say "I 'll save you Lucy"! It's really sweet.

She thinks she is so big now that she can crawl into the kitchen and pull up to get toys off the couch.

Big Brother

Lucy's world pretty much revolves around me and Carter. We are the two main people she hangs around with most of the day. She loves her momma for the obvious reason (food source, duh LOL) but she loves playing and being entertained by Carter.  He makes her smile and laugh and always tries to calm her when she is upset. Now that Lucy is more mobile, she is super nosy and tries to get into whatever Carter is doing. Here are some cute pics of their daily interactions!

Climbing over Carter to play with his toy.
Pulling up on the couch to see what Carter was doing.Eating Carter's hair. Lucy has an obsession with Carter's hair. She loves to grab it in her hands and rub it between her fingers or chomp down for a mouthful of it.

One morning I put Lucy in her crib while I was getting ready and she threw a fit about being left in the crib. When I returned to get her I found Carter in the crib with her trying to calm her down. So Sweet!!!!!!

6 months

Baby girl is now 6 months old! She is the sweetest thing ever! At her 6 month check up she weighed 15 lbs and was 26" in height. She now scoots, rolls, sits up on her own, pulls up and is starting to crawl.  She has the biggest smile with the cutest dimples!! Sleeping is still a challenge since she usually wakes 2 or 3 times a night, but she makes up for it with her good natured personality and great napping schedule during the day. The boys have given her many nicknames, but the one that has seemed to stick is LuLu.  One of Carter's favorite phrases to say to her is " That's my pretty girl, LuLu!" Her brothers adore her and entertain her constantly.

Lazy days and kiddos

I love taking pics of the kids, but have yet to get a really good one of all three together. I tend to get one kid smiling with Lucy or the boys smiling with Lucy eating her hands or something. Oh well at least I can crop and get a cute one of each boy with Lucy! Lucy is so much fun lately she can scoot and roll around and has these fabulous laughs and smiles that just make my day brighter! She now has good balance and can sit up by herself, which is her favorite position to be in so she can watch the boys running around.

As for what we have been up too, honestly not much of anything. We have been taking it pretty easy around here, just trying to enjoy our last few weeks before the madness of selling the house/moving hits. Most days after dropping cooper off at school we just lay around the house watching movies and enjoying the downtime. My laziness won't be able to continue much longer though, because baseball and gymnastics for the kids and prepping the house for selling/moving all begin in a few weeks. Wish me luck!!

Laughing at Carter!

I Make Milk, What's Your Superpower?

Love this sign!!

It definitely describes how I feel lately with Miss Lucy attached 24/7. She is my little leach that refuses a bottle and only wants the real deal. I wouldn't have it any other way!!!! :)

I'm back!!!

For Christmas and our Anniversary Blaine got me an iPad so now I can return to the world of blogging. Yea!! After a fabulous Christmas, our lovely 10 year anniversary and a wonderful New Years things have finally settled down and real life has returned. Christmas decorations are down and we are spending a lazy Saturday at home. We spent 2 weeks traveling back and forth from Blaine's parents house and my parents house during the Holidays so it's super nice to be back home. Since I have way too many pics from the Holidays I am going to start fresh and begin with the New Year. The New Year brings our family one step closer to Blaine finishing Residency and us moving to a more permenant and stable lifestyle. Only 5 more months!! Woo-hoo!!
To start the New Year off Lucy decided to master several new tricks which brings her one step closer to crawling. I am so not ready for her to crawl, but she is showing she wants to keep up with her brothers and doesn't want to be left behind. She has also mastered the skill of shreaking and squealing when she wants to get our attention and has perfected the art of keeping mom up all hours of the night. As for Cooper and Carter they keep growing little by little, changing into big boys faster then I would like. Carter's latest accomplishment is learning to ride his bike without training wheels. He was bound and determined to do it after seeing his cousins ride their bikes without training wheels.
I am so excited for this New Year and the blessings, changes, trials and whatever else it may bring. Welcome 2012!! It's going to be a good year!

Merry Christmas!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2011!!
Cooper- 7 years old

Carter- 4 years old
Lucy- 4 months old
Funny story about the Christmas pictures.  I really wanted to get Christmas pictures of the kids at the beach this year since this is our last Christmas in Mobile, but I waited to the last minute and ended up going to the beach on one of the two cold days we have had in Mobile.  Everyone was FREEZING!!!!! But my boys are such good sports with pictures that they would seriously be shivering and teeth chattering and I would say smile and they would flash a smile let me take the picture and then in the next breath be whining and shivering again. Needless to say it was a super short photo shoot. :) Love my kiddos!!!
FYI: I may not be updating the blog again for awhile. My computer that I do all my picture editing, blogging and embroidery on crashed so I am out a computer for awhile. I downloaded a few pics to Blaines mini laptop for Christmas pics, but it takes forever and I am limited to what I can do.
