April Fools!!!

For April Fools I planned a switcheroo dinner for the boys.  We had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner and cupcakes for dessert. ;) Or did  we?
Topped off with blue milk!
I told the boys they could eat their dessert first!
Woo-hoo! They were so excited to be able to eat their cupcakes first!

Wait a sec, mom!!! These are NOT cupcakes!
APRIL FOOLS!!
They were meatloaf cupcakes with mashed potato frosting and the spaghetti was a cake decorated to look  like spaghetti and  meatballs!
The boys gave them a thumbs up and thought it was a super fun April Fools dinner!

The funniest part was that Carter didn't catch on at first.  He was licking the mashed potatoes off his meatloaf cupcake like it really was icing saying, YUM until Cooper started shouting Carter it is MASHED POTATOES!!!! LOL :)

FYI: I just went back and looked at the pics on this post and yes my spaghetti cake does look more like a bloody Halloween cake with eyeballs or something instead spaghetti.  LOL! Oh well, the boys thought it was fantastic!

Bellingrath Gardens

On Tuesday I went with a group of friends to Bellingrath Gardens.  The Azaleas are in bloom right now and are beautiful!  It was such a nice breezy day.
Carter with (Carolyn) a friend from church who became Carter's best buddy for the day! Did I mention she is from England and has the sweetest accent ever!

The kiddos that went with us.

Can you see the bee that flew right by his face?
It was so crazy that I caught a pic of it.

Spring Time

The weather has been gorgeous lately and spring has definitely sprung in Mobile! Spring means beautiful weather, plenty of outside time and lots of yard work.  We had our first blooms on our roses and the grass got its first cut of  the season.
Carter was just too cute following Blaine around with his little lawn mower trying to help cut the grass.
Did I mention pregnancy has its perks?  I am milking the I can't cut grass while pregnant!! hehe :)
In Cooper's class at school they are talking about plants and seeds so Cooper wanted to plant some flowers at home from seed.  This is our attempt to plant Zinnias from seed. I was just happy to see that they sprouted.  We will keep you updated if they actually turn into flowers.
A CUTE pic of Carter right after a hair cut. For some reason it made him look a lot more grown up.

Cooper took this pic for me! LOL :)

Baseball Season

Cooper had his first baseball game last Saturday and had a lot of fun!
He really is the tiniest player on his team, but oh so cute!
Up at bat.
He got a hit on his first try without the tee! Go Cooper!
Run Cooper, Run!!!

Visitors

The last couple of weeks we have had a blast with our many visitors!
Nathan, Jill and Drew came down  for a few days to enjoy our Mardi Gras break .  Blaine had to work, but the boys and I had fun taking them around Mobile despite the horriable parking due to the Mardi Gras parades.
Drew and Carter enjoying the cars at Dirt Cheap!
Eating at Mama's in downtown Mobile . YUMMO!! I can't wait to go back!
Big Bugs at the Exploreum!
All the boys watching the big bug move around.
Drew was a bit afraid/curious watching the big bugs!
Drew playing in the kid zone!
Cooper and Carter exploring the many exhibits.
Blaine finally joined us for dinner at San Miguels.
I was one happy pregnant lady with two fabulous meals in the same day!!
The next week my, mom, sister and sister-in-law came down with their kids for spring break and we spent the day at the beach.  The weather was fabulous, warm and sunny! We had a picnik at the beach and then spent the afternoon relaxing in the wonderful weather with 12 kids running around! Yes, 12 kids!
Carter trying to look cool with his sunglasses!
Cousins Kate, Cooper and Anna Claire.
They were born  within 6 months of each other and are best buds!
Chanie and Jordan
Cutie Patootie Julia!
Benjamin trying to fly his kite.
Adam trying to get one of the girls with his water gun.
We had so much fun with everybody visiting!
I can't wait till summer and we can do it more often!

After much debate..

We have a baby name.

Lucy Caroline Britt

Lucy is a name both Blaine and I really like.  Cooper is very excited because Caroline is his pick.

I mean who dosen't love Lucy?  Just watch a few "I Love Lucy" re-runs and you will be in love with the name Lucy also!  :)
