This kid...

loves, loves, loves trains! He knows the names of all the Thomas the trains and will quickly tell you if you call one by the wrong name! :)
has the saddest, loudest cry of any two year old!
has the biggest, happiest grin of any two year old! Seriously he has a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde personality. Happy one minute, sad the next!
is one of the cutest kids ever! But hey, I am a bit partial! :)
loves shoes! Mommy's shoes, Daddy's shoes, Cooper's shoes, his shoes it dosen't really matter he just loves shoes!
loves playing outside! He asks me at least 30 times a day "Go outside mom?" Rainy days are the worst for him. He will sit by the door just looking out the window, wishing to go outside.
makes messes and goes non-stop until he passes out wherever he is! After giving him a bowl of popcorn and putting a movie on, I found him passed out on the bean bag chair with popcorn everywhere!
is always getting hurt, but bounces right back! Some how he managed to get a HUGE splinter. YIKES! He was a very sad little boy while daddy got it out, but as soon as it was out he got a big smile on his face and looked at Blaine and said "Daddy make it all better?!"
is very loving! He loves giving Henry big hugs and kisses and dosen't mind the slober one bit.
is extremelly silly! He found a fun way to eat his oranges.

But I LOVE him and he is a joy and a blessing in my life!! :)

I want one of these!!!

The Silhouette SD is the coolest.
( http://www.silhouettemachine.com/ ) Basically just like the cricut, but cheaper and no need to buy expensive cards or programs. The silhouette plugs into your computer and uses your fonts and designs already on your computer. Then you can buy special designs for as low as $1.99 on their site and other sites. I have fallen in love with the vinyl designs and glass etching! I have been checking out everybody's things that they have been making with the silhouette and wish I had the money and time to take on another hobby. Oh well another thing to add to my wish list.....:)

Life is tough, Deal with it! :)

I love Blaine for many reasons, but I really love him for toughing me up! Throughout our marriage we have encountered many hard times and each time Blaine has had to deal with all my selfish whining and complaining. Each time he has pulled me out of my misery and told me kindly but bluntly that life is tough, deal with it. Or in his exact words "suck it up and deal"!!LOL :) In the moment I hated to hear those words, because it meant time to move on, stop whining, and do what needs to be done to get through the trial. In retrospect I love those words! They made me stronger, tougher and more willing to take on tasks that before seemed impossible. They have made me realize that tough times will come and they will seem endless at points, but if I remain strong, keep a positive perspective and always remember the blessings and help from my Heavenly Father in all things I will get through whatever is thrown at me! :) Blaine's words have helped me to complain and whine less, stop blaming and start fixing, and to remember to turn to my Heavenly Father for help and understanding whenever life gets tough! For this I love you Blaine! You have made me realize that no matter how hard life gets, someone else has it tougher, and that if in the middle of my crisis I can stop complaining long enough to see the needs of others and lighten their burden then that is what it is all about!!! So to you Blaine I say THANKS for those simple words "Suck it up and deal"! I still do my fair share of whining and complaining, but it helps to have someone to put things back in perspective! ;)

December Poem

Since December was so busy and I didn't have alot of time to post, I decided to make an an annual tradition of writing a poem of all that happened in the month of December. I did it last year and had so much fun writing it. So here it goes...( beware this is VERY long)
We tried to decorate the tree with the most care, Carter broke a few ornaments and mom about pulled out her hair. :) We hung the stockings above the fireplace, in hopes that Santa would come with haste.
Cooper sang a few Christmas songs and although it didn't take too long, Mom was the proudest she could be because he sang with his Kindergarten class for all to see.

The boys painted Christmas pictures to decorate the house, they had lots of fun and it kept them as quite as a mouse.
Cooper sat on Santa's lap and became as nervous as can be. Carter thought Santa was a bit strange, but decided he would sit to get some candy.
We also made sugar cookies for Santa and friends to eat,
Cooper wrote Santa a real sweet note and
Carter found the cookies to be a most delightful treat!
When Christmas morning finally came, toys and presents were opened and claimed (well, except for the underwear that Cooper deemed LAME)!! :) A Bakugan for Cooper. It's a weird little toy. But when he saw it he nearly jumped for joy!
A race car for Carter to keep him quite busy, or maybe it is meant to make mom super dizzy.
A new hat for Blaine and a Harry Potter DVD, a movie for us to watch later on the TV. Carter LOVES Elmo, just ask him to sing the song. He can belt out the words to Elmo's world without getting one word wrong.
A dragon castle was high on Cooper's list. Santa knew he would be in trouble if this one was missed.
New Einstein pajamas and the movie Percy the train, kept Carter fully entertained. (Thanks Nathan and Jill for the pajamas!!!)
Video games, just like dad, made Cooper very glad.
A Stocking full of candy makes the day complete. Surely nothing else can compete?
But wait there is more, can it be? Santa left a note about a gift outside by a tree.

A trampoline, oh what fun! Now they can jump and jump until the day is done.
Then on to my mom's, lots of wonderful food to eat. Her pies, rolls and dressing can't be beat!
Family, fun and lots of food always puts us in the Holiday mood!
How many people can fit on one couch? Five or more, my family can vouch!
Adam and Carter are cousins and best friends. They love to play with each other and the fun never ends. Finally the day was over and it was time to rest. A cozy little spot with Papa was just the best!
But wait, there was one last Christmas surprise for us to take home. Little Henry dog was coming to our backyard to rome. Cooper thinks Henry is just the best. A step above all the rest.
Carter thinks Henry is a fun little toy, but Henry just loves having a cute, caring little boy!
I finally made homemade wheat rolls that came out just right. They were tasty, soft, fluffy and light! I also tried some monkey bread which was gobbled up with much delight.

So 2009 has come to an end and I am very excited for 2010 to begin! No one knows what will happen or what it will bring, but hopefully happiness and joy throughout all will ring.

guilty generosity!!??

Yea I know, those two words don't go together. But in my crazy world they do... :)
Yesterday we went to Dirt Cheap for our weekly bargain hunting. It turned out a flop, but Carter did mange to find a pack of Hot Wheel cars priced way to high for a discount store. So on the way out I passed the cars off the the cashier and asked her to put them away because we didn't want to buy them. The second Carter realized what was going on he let out a tremendous scream and started throwing a fit. Being a pro at dealing with this kind of behavior (we seem to have ALOT of temper tantrums in our house, LOL),I just scooped the kid up and walked out the door at fast as possible. On my way out the door the cashier speedily gave me a bag and said Merry Christmas. Carter immediately (YES, immediately, can I just say rotten) stopped crying as we both realized she had given us the cars for free. At first I was thinking, well that was very generous of her. But then here comes the guilty part. I started thinking did she just steal the cars and give them to me? No I didn't steal the cars, but did I take something from someone that was stolen? Should've I had said no and given them back and hurt her feeling for trying to do something nice. The whole way home, I was feeling guilty for taking the cars from the cashier. Oh well, I am going with the story that the cashier paid for the cars and then generously gave them to Carter and that she was just trying to spread a little Christmas cheer!!!

So Cute!

The last few days have been rainy and cold, so Carter has decided the best thing to do on a cold, rainy day is to cuddle up in a bed of blankets in the living room, turn on the Christmas lights and watch a movie. He was just the cutest thing, getting his blankets laid out just right on the floor, taking my hand and leading me over to the Christmas tree and telling me Christmas lights. Lastly he curled up in his blanket with his milk and asked me "Watch movie,TV"?
So with a Christmas movie playing, Christmas tree lights twinkling, a cold sippy cup of milk and his favorite blanket Carter dozed off to sleep with not even a whimper. I love this kid!!! :)
