Country boys
Blaine has been itching to teach the boys to shoot ever since we moved out to the country. Blaine is super safe with his gun handling and has taught the boys the same safety routine when handling a gun. I believe that if kids know what guns are, how to handle them safely, and understand the seriousness behind what happens when you shoot a gun they will be less likely to have an accidental mishandling of a gun. All of this has to be age appropriate mind you. After feeling like the boys were finally ready to shoot and understood the safety rules, with Blaine's close help and supervision he took the boys out for a little target practice. FYI: the boys know they only touch the guns with Blaine's help and the rest of the time the guns are locked up in a safe.
Cooper shooting like a pro.
Carter needs a lot more help from Blaine. Blaine never takes his hands off Carter when he lets him shoot.
Sleepy Legos
The other night when it was time for the boys to go to bed, Cooper asked for a few more minutes to play with his Legos so he could finish something. After he went to bed I went to inspect what he was building that was so important. I had to laugh as I found all his Lego people tucked into their own beds!! :)

Favorite idea ever!
With the new year came a new group of Sunbeams in my 4 year old class at church that had to get used to sitting and listening and not playing with toys the whole class. I knew I wanted something that could occupy them and keep them quite while we waited for all the kids to arrive and while I gave my lesson. While in Wal-mart I found a pack of laminating sheets and it hit me that I could laminate a coloring sheet and let the kids use dry erase crayons(if you haven't discovered Crayolas dry erase crayons yet, go out and buy some right now) to color and then after class I could wipe them off an reuse them next week. I've used them for two weeks now and they have worked GREAT! My kids love them too!!! It keeps them busy on Sunday afternoons. I have now laminated quite a few different pictures for the boys and they can't wait to color, wipe and color again! FYI: a paper towel with water or windex works best to clean the laminated coloring sheets.
Cooper's finished laminated coloring sheet
Lucy got in on the action. She loved it and since the sheets are more sturdy then a piece of paper she dosen't rip it or crumple it while coloring.

I couldn't wait
Ever since the Christmas decorations came down everything looked so bare. I finally broke down and put out the Valentines decorations. Awwww, much better!! :)
Pinterest inspired
Since we moved I've had so much fun starting over with the house decorations and trying out a few Pinterest DIY projects! In our rental house the kitchen was already an orange color that was recently painted so instead of repainting the kitchen I left it and just touched up the paint (after re-painting almost every other room in our rental house I let the kitchen be). Anyway, long story short I decided to use lime green, aqua and orange for my color scheme to pull the orange into my decorations. Thanks to Pinterest I have been able to make the colors work and make some CUTE and CHEAP decorations that I am now in love with!
I still have a million ideas and spaces to decorate, but I can only conquer one cute project at a time! Lol :)

16 weeks
If you didn't get my Christmas card or if you just didn't look on the back, we are expecting baby #4 in July! I am about 16 weeks along. We are excited and hoping for another girl!!! I am feeling great but am showing earlier then with the previous babies, seriously causing a too tight clothes problem. Lol :) I guess I'm going to have to break out the maternity clothes.
Miss Priss
Cooper's angry bird pajamas that Lucy has claimed as her own. She wraps them around her shoulders and walks around all day with them on pointing to them and saying "bird, bird" over and over. Cooper tries to take them back but she screams and cries until he gives them back.

Book worm
During the boys Christmas break from school we had many quiet and lazy days. Many days I found Carter quietly reading several of the Magic Tree House books Cooper got for Christmas. I got the books for Cooper not Carter since I didn't think Carter would really get into chapter books, but he surprised me and read 4 of the books in the series over Christmas break. When I asked Carter why he enjoyed reading them so much he said "I was bored and needed some entertainment!" Lol:)
Christmas 2012
Christmas party at my mom's. For the grand kids my mom laid out dollar bills on the table, gave each kid a sticky hand stretchy thing and let them take turns trying to stick their sticky hand to a dollar bill!!! It was the hit of the party!
