Nostalgia

I really hope my dad is checking my blog, because this post is for him. Let me tell a little back story so you will understand the pic.  My dad owns a grocery store and as I was growing up everytime my siblings would visit with a new baby they had this tradition of going to my dad's grocery store and weighing the baby on the old timey produce scale.  I always loved seeing how much the babies weighed and would think I can't wait to have a baby so I can do this also.  But, before I had kids they changed over to electronic scales at dad's grocery store and the baby weighing tradition ceased.  So, when I was at a local fabric store with some friends a few days ago and saw an old scale just like dad used to have at his store, I HAD to take a pic of Lucy on the scale! I only had my cell phone, so the pic is not the best, but it certaintly brings back memories. According to the scale, Lucy now weighs a whopping 12 pounds! :)

Awww! That is too cute! Too bad your dad didn't keep the scale around just for looks at his store, but I'm glad you got your turn! :)

What a neat story Amber. She is getting big. I would love to hug on all 12 pounds of her. =c)

I was there at the fabric store and missed the whole weigh in. What a fun tradition!
