Last weekend the South received a freak snow storm that blew through a few of the southern states. All morning I sat glued to the news watching and waiting to see if it would come to Mobile! As the southern region turned white with snow, Mobile remained snowless and we had given up hope. But then for no more than 10 minutes we received big, fat flakes that dropped from the sky like manna from heaven. The boys were overjoyed and flew outside to play in the icy, wet stuff. When it didn't stick and it only lasted for a few minutes, we decided to drive to Blaine's parents house in MS early (we were already going there on Sunday for Blaine's nieces blessing) where they had received 3-4 inches of snow. On our way there we stopped through Hattiesburg, MS at my brothers house and enjoyed the snow there also! When we got to Blaine's parents house it was night time so the boys couldn't see the snow, but when they awoke the next morning everything was covered in glistening, white snow! I don't think I have seen that much snow in the South my whole life. It was fabulous and everyone had a blast. I think we went through every pair of socks, shoes, and gloves that day. The boys just kept wanting to play no matter how wet and cold they were.
A rare moment of a southern lawn covered in snow and the whole family smiling at the same time! LOL :)
