I really try to enjoy the holidays with the kids and make each holiday fun for them, even though it gets crazy at times. One of the things they love doing with each holiday is decorating the house. This year when I pulled out the Easter decorations the boys decided they wanted to decorate all by themselves. Cooper came up with a plan and ordered Carter around! :) They even insisted we take a trip to the dollar store for extra supplies. Coop came up with the idea of making an Easter tree out of sticks from the yard. It turned out really cute with some help from mom! When they got finished they surprised Blaine by acting completely surprised at the decorations and told him the Easter Bunny came by and decorated! LOL! I love my silly boys! It's fun watching them grow up! I did rearrange a few decorations when they weren't looking!! ;)
The kids had a Dr. Seuss day at their school and were asked to dress up as their favorite character or book! Carter was The Cat in the Hat. I didn't get a pic of Carter till after school and this was the best I could do. He wasn't in the mood for pictures, but he still was so cute!
This pregnancy has flown by! I'm feeling great and I am loving my thick hair that comes from my pregnancy hormones (too bad it all falls out when my babies are around 3 months old and I will feel like Im going bald)! Im still trying to wrap my mind around how I'm going to care for another baby amidst my already chaotic household. Baby #4 may just have to hold on for dear life and join the craziness! :)
I bought a couple of distressed picture frames for my living room from a local vender when we first moved here. Since then I have been playing around with painting and distressing my old picture frames that I already have. For weeks I have been wanting to paint and distress two old frames to put above my tv. I finally got around to it and love the way they turned out. I only wish I would have sanded/ distressed them more to match the bought aqua frame in the middle.
Whatcha think? This project cost me nothing since I already had the old frames, paint and sandpaper. I like the green one better since the frame has more dimension to it.
Cooper started Cub Scouts last year when he turned eight. He has loved every minute of it, but the thing that the Cub Scouts look forward to the most is the pinewood derby! Since it was Cooper's first year to make a car and race we figured he wouldn't win anything, but that he would just go and have fun racing his car. Well, little did we know the first time novice had the fastest car! Coop was SO EXCITED when his car won almost every race. He made it to the final three and then won overall! Way to go Coop!
