Family pic

I have had the worst luck with pictures lately. I havent been able to get a good family pic since Lucy was born. Our camera broke awhile back and we aren't going to splurge and get a new one until Blaine is finished with Residency. That leaves me with my iPad, cell phone, or really old point and shoot to take pictures. Needless to say my attempts at a family pic up until this point have failed. Well, fast forward to last week. A friend from church wanted a picture of our family for a farewell project she was working on. I told her we didn't have any, but that I would find a way to get one to her. Long story short, I asked a friend who had invited us over for dinner if she would mind taking a few pics for us with her camera. She tried, I tried, we all tried to get Everyone to be still and look at the same time. We almost managed except for Carter! He is just a non-stop, over active, high strung type of kid, but we love him anyway!!!!! :) So here you go, our family pic after months of trying! I think it captures us very well! lol :) And yes, that is my husband under all that hair. Residency has been a bit tough on him ( and me) lately!! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family!!

 

 

Good morning!

Lucy loves yogurt for breakfast,but lately she hasn't wanted me to feed her. She has started squealing until I give her the spoon and let her do it herself. Eventually, I just let her go at it and eat the yogurt in her own way!

 

 

Funny things

Cooper had to fill out a survey about me at school and one of the questions was, "If your mom was a song, what song would she be?". His answer was "The lazy song"! He knows this song from my Bruno Mars CD that I listen to all the time. WHAT, seriously am I a lazy mom? I just had to laugh! Later he explained "you know mom when we lay around and watch movies and eat popcorn and be lazy, it's so much fun!" Well maybe being the lazy mom is not such a bad thing after all! :)

We have a walker!

Miss Lucy and her new skill of walking!! I just can't get enough of this sweet thing!! My little baby is turning into a toddler way too fast!!! BTW don't you just love Carter's ninja roll at the end of the video. He fell off his stool while eating an apple!!! Lol :)

 

Surprise Adventure

Blaine has been working a lot lately and the boys have been cooped up in the house with me for way too many afternoons/weekends in a row. I just haven't had the courage/energy to take all three kids by myself on outings. Finally, after Cooper and Carter asking multiple times to go do something fun I decided to get over my fear of taking all three out by myself and surprise the boys with a fun filled day! When Cooper woke up Monday morning and started getting ready for school I told him to put on his swim trunks instead because we were going to have a surprise adventure day. He quickly woke Carter, we all got ready and off we went. The boys were super excited and kept asking repeatedly where we were going. We started the day with breakfast at Chick-fil-A and then headed to a splash pad where the kids played for a couple of hours. After the splash pad we went to Build-A-Bear so Carter could get his stuffed puppy he has been longing for forever (when Cooper was 4 he got to pick a build-a-bear animal and Carter has been waiting for his turn to get one ever since he turned 4). After Build-A-Bear everyone took a nap in the car while we made the 45 minute drive to Pensacola beach. We spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying the gorgeous weather while relaxing on the beach. On the way home we stopped by McDonalds and ate dinner while the boys talked non-stop about their fabulous day!!!! The boys had so much fun as did I. It was just what I needed to get out of my funk. I couldn't think of a better way to spend my day then with my 3 kiddos!!!!!

A few of Lucy's favorite things

Within the last few weeks Lucy has started enjoying looking at books. She will sit for the longest time flipping the pages over and over while staring at the pictures.

Lucy has a stuffed bear blanket that she loves. I showed her how to growl at the bear and now she growls at her bear when she sees him. She loves to chew on him and roll on the floor with him.

Lucy's favorite part of the day is bath time. She practically jumps off my lap into the tub when she hears the water running. Here's a cute video of her splashing in the tub.
