WELCOME Baby Lucy!

Baby Lucy is here and adjusting very well to the chaotic Britt household. The boys love her and are being SUPER big brothers. I am having a blast dressing her up (bring on the bows) and just plain enjoying having a precious new baby to love on. She has been the most mellow baby and it is easy for me to forget she is there at moments because she is so quite. She is nursing super well (came here ready to latch on) and really only cries if hungry or getting her diaper changed. Maybe she really is going to be my calm third child. :) She has darker hair then the boys did so maybe I will finally get a brown headed child to match my own hair color. She has slight dimples and has been showing them off with her random smiles. She truely is a joy in our home and we are thanking Heavenly Father every day for bringing her into our family!
Now for the pics! :)
Just seconds after being born!
Happy Birthday Lucy!
She weighed 7lb  4oz
A sweet moment with mom!
They let us keep her for quite awhile before they took her away to clean and check her.
First Prints!
First Pic after she came back from getting a bath.
Grandma and Big Brothers!
Carter was so sweet to Lucy! He tried singing her songs and kept looking at her tiny nose and ears.
Sweet moment with dad! She already is a daddy's girl!
Sucking her fingers while getting her dolled up for visitors.  She had her hand in her mouth in every ultrasound pic and when she was born she had a blister on her hand from sucking it in the womb. She now gets her fingers/thumb in her mouth quite often.
Ready to go home!
All dressed up to go home!
Finally home! Snuggling in her boppy.
Playing dress up with mom! :)
Sucking her thumb!
Random Smiles!
Grinning while the boys rubbed her head! She seems to LOVE having her head rubbed!
Sleeping with dad.
Big Brother Carter!
Hanging out in her bouncy seat!
We love you Baby Lucy and are so glad you came to our family!!!

Waiting Game

I am NOT a patient person!  Waiting on something drives me crazy!!! Well, it's down to the last week and a half of pregnancy and I am impatiently waiting on Baby Lucy to make her appearance. I have all baby items ready and set to go, bags packed, clothes washed and  put away, house clean, yard cut, floors mopped, carpets vacuumed, big brother shirts made, freezer stocked, I could go on for days.  I think I keep inventing tasks to do to keep myself busy every day when I wake up. LOL :) The funny thing about babies is that they make you have patience whether you want it or not. It is always on their schedule not yours.  So wait we shall and hope that Baby Lucy makes her appearance soon! :)
Lucy's corner as we have deemed it. :) Since Blaine still needs to have an office and we don't have any other rooms I took one small section of Blaine's office for Lucys clothes, diapers and changing area.  Then in our bedroom we put a small bassinett by our bed with her blankets and such. We are making it work till Blaine is finished with Residency next year.

Wonderful Friends

My Wonderful friend Jen gave me a shower for Lucy last week and spoiled me rotten! I totally didn't expect a shower since it is my third child, but it was SUPER nice of her to take time out of her busy life to throw a celebration for the birth of Lucy!  Jen decorated her home so cute in my favorite colors and all my friends pitched in to make food that was YUMMO! I recieved so many fabulous gifts from friends and had such  a fun time chatting and laughing with everyone.  THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Jen and everyone who helped!  It was a wonderful night!
A friend from church who is due a day behind me.
It has been fun comparing our pregnancies and watching our bellies grow!

Sweet Summertime

Our summer is flying by way too fast and with Baby Lucy due soon I feel I must cram every bit of fun into the last few weeks of summer we have left baby free.  The boys have spent endless hours swimming with friends, cousins, and in our kiddie pool till they are about to turn into little brown fish! lol :) We visited Aunt Autumn, Aunt Nor-Nor, and Aunt Shari in Hattiesburg for a few days and then we spent the Fourth of July at my parents house visiting with cousins, and friends we don't get to see often.  We also have taken a few beach trips inbetween the traveling.  Oh how I LOVE sweet summertime!!!  I still have a few more summer plans before the baby arrives, so BRING ON THE FUN!!!
Hanging out in our kiddie pool
Enjoying pool time with friends.  THANKS Jenn for letting us swim with y'all!
Cooper and Carter love hanging with your boys!
Swimming at Aunt Nor-Nor's pool.
Hanging out at Aunt Autumn's house.
Happy Fourth of July!
We spent the morning at the Blalock reunion eating way too much and visiting with old friends.
Some of the grandkids with Papa!
The afternoon of the Fourth we hung out at Gigi and Papa's pool grilling hamburgers and swimming with family and friends.
Later that evening we finished off the day with sparklers and fireworks!
Carter LOVED the fireworks and couldn't get enough of them.
Don't you just LOVE their faces watching the fireworks explode?
Carter was so sad when all the fireworks were finished, the only thing that finally got him to stop crying was Uncle Neal giving him an empty firework canister.  He carried it around  like he had won the best trophy ever!
While at Papa's and Gigi's the boys enjoyed gathering Papa's chicken eggs and visiting Papa at work.
Papa let them pick out any treat they wanted in the whole grocery store!
Now do you understand why they LOVE going to Papa's and Gigi's house?!!!
Blueberry picking for the hundredth time.  Seriously, I am blue berried out! :)
Enjoying Dauphin Island!
It is so nice being close enough to the beach to take a day trip on the spur of the moment.
My boys are total beach bums! LOVE IT!
Hope you are enjoying your summer as much as we are!!!!!!!
