One very long week cont...

After finally getting things wrapped up here in Mobile, we finally got on the road to have a fun vacation (Blaine and I LOVE road trips). We traveled to Brookhaven, MS where Blaines parents live and got to spend a couple of days with his family! Cooper got to see his cousin Emily and had a BLAST playing with her around Grandmas and Papas house. Grandma spoils Cooper and Carter rotten and they love every minute of it!! :)

Digging for worms with Grandma and playing in the sand box.

We then drove down to Jackson, MS to visit all of our old friends. I so miss you guys!! Cooper got to play with a couple of his Jackson friends and was very sad when we had to leave their houses. We took the kids to the reservoir (one of our favorite spots) and let them run wild and play. We then went to Ichiban (Blaines favorite sushi place) to eat dinner. We also drove by our old house and it made me so sad. Even though we LOVE our house here in Mobile, there are so many memories in our Jackson home.

The last leg of our trip took us to Louisiana where some more of Blaines family live. We stayed a couple of days with Blaine's cousin Nathan and his wife Jill along with their two dogs (Voodoo and chucho). The boys had alot of fun and did really well hanging with the dogs. Carter learned a couple of new words (dog and sit) and was very cute telling the dogs to sit. Thanks Nathan and Jill for letting us hang out with y'all!
Sunday evening we finally headed home. Besides the dirty laundry from the trip, being back home is great! Carter was so excited to get in his own bed and to be in his room(he had a couple hard nights being away from his bed). All in all we had a great time on vacation, but we all were super happy to be home and relax in our own beds!!!

One very long week....

Well lets see, where do I start? Last week was a very fun, long, tiresome, exciting, fabulous, week. It all started the week before we were susspose to leave on vacation, (yes Blaine got a week vacation) when Blaine's car decided it would not go another mile (literally) and died on railroad tracks (poor Blaine). Some how he finally got it off the tracks and working again, then the next day it overheated and I had to bring him coolant so he could drive home. Then the next day it burst into flames while driving down the highway. Blaine had to pull the car over and put the fire out! :( Well that was the straw that broke the camels back and we decided it was time for a new vehicle. So we looked on the internet and read review, after review, after review of cars, suvs, mini-vans, and wagons. We finally decided on a wagon and Blaine went around to the different dealership in search of a good, used one. So in the first two days of our vacation we traded in Blaines car and bought a 2007 Dodge Calibur. YEA!!! I love it.
It drives like a SUV and has more room than a car, but it is way smaller than the dreaded mini- van and plus it was in our price range!! I am super excited to have a new vehicle, but I think Blaine is even more excited to get my old car passed down to him to drive to work. Anyway, since we had just purchased a new vehicle and our savings was depleted we decided to just visit family and friends for our vacation and make it a cheaper vacation. In spite of not spending alot of money on vacation, we still had a GREAT time and enjoyed getting to see all of our family and friends!

Happy Birthday to ME!!

Yesterday was my 27th Birthday!! It started out as any other day by getting up at 5:00a.m. with the kids, fixing breakfast for everybody, cutting the grass, changing stinky diapers, cleaning yucky messes, and wondering "What is so exciting about adult Birthdays?". But that evening things got ALOT better. For the night we had a babysitter scheduled to keep the boys , I actually got dressed up , and we went out to eat all by ourselves!!!! It was so nice. I don't think we have had a night to ourselves since we moved to Mobile. We had a fabulous dinner over the bay and I told the waiter it was my birthday, so I got a wonderful dessert with a sparkler on it. It was a very fun night and we did not get home till...wait for it.... 10:00p.m.. Aren't we such night owls! LOL! :) The best part of the night was when we got home, both boys were soundly asleep in their beds, and the house had been picked up by the babysitter!!!

SUPER COOPER!!

I have been asking Cooper what he wants to be for Halloween and finally he decided on Batman. Well in practice for his Halloween costume I decided to try my hand at a super hero cape. Cooper has been asking for quite awhile for a super cape, but instead I have been lazy and he has been using a baby blanket with a clip on it. :( So finally I made him a real Super Cooper Cape! He was was so excited! He wore it for two days straight! Carter even got in on the action, when Cooper finally did take it off Carter found it and brought it to me to put on him. He loved it also. He walked around the house with the cape on thinking it was so funny! I had to finally make Carter one also, because the boys were fighting over who got to wear it! So here are Super Cooper and Super Carter to the rescue!!!

Flying around the house!
Showing off his cape in his ninja turtle underwear !

We LOVE the dentist!!! YAY!!

Cooper went to the dentist today for a checkup! The last time Cooper went to the dentist in Jackson, it was horriable! Blaine had to literally hold him down while Cooper kicked and screamed! Today I was preparing for the worst and so was Cooper. Armed with two stuffed animals and my encouragment Cooper slowly made his way through the door. When they called us back Cooper had the look of fear in his eyes and would not budge an inch past the door. I was like, oh no, please don't do this again. I looked at the dental tech and explained our dentist trauma and she and the other tech immediately went into overkill happiness of how fun the dentist is! But guess what it worked! Cooper immediately sat in the chair and started asking what all the tools did. He let them take x-rays, clean his teeth and then let the dentist probe around in his mouth without as much as a wimper!!!! I WAS SUCH A PROUD MOMMY! When he got done, they let him pick a sticker and gave him a toothbrush and toothpaste. He was grinning from ear to ear. He then asked "When do I get to come back and get another toothbrush?" I guess turning 4 does make them grow up just a little bit!! Anyway I just had to brag about how big Cooper was today!!!
