Donkeys, Sheep, and Goats! Oh My!

We went to the Gulfshores zoo, last week, in efforts to enjoy the last day Blaine had off before he started work. It was very hot, but the kids had a blast. There were plenty of lions, tigers and bears to be seen, but the kids had no interest in them. Instead they wanted to spend the whole time at the petting zoo area with the donkeys, sheep and goats! Carter who has really shown an interest for animals, just couldnt get enough of the goats! He was literally climbing out of his stroller to touch the animals!
Cooper was a bit more cautious, as always, and wanted dad to help him feed the animals. He mainly let Blaine feed them but he gave the instructions on how and where to feed them in his ever so grown up, almost 4 year old voice. :)
We had a blast and nobody wanted to leave, but we finally got everyone to the car with the bribe of ice cream as soon as we saw an ice cream shop. But as expected before we could even get onto the highway our two boys were fast asleep in the back seat!!

Summer Days

We LOVE the summer and what is more perfect then spending an afternoon at the beach! Since we moved to Mobile, we have been taking full advantage of being so close to Dauphin Island. The kids have taken to the water like fish, especially Carter. He throughly enjoys the sand and water and could spend hours playing in it. Yesterday we spent the evening there and the kids had a blast. After playing for awhile, Cooper noticed some condos near the beach and he asked Blaine what they were. Blaine told him that people lived there so they could be close to the beach. Cooper immediately asked "Can we live there too?". I thought to myself wouldn't that be nice, but I guess for now we will settle for a short 30 minute drive! LOL! :)

Steak and Shake

Cooper sucking down a chocolate shake!

Carter wanting the hat off, but excited to get a french fry!

Since we have moved to Mobile, we have not eaten out much, mainly because we live about 15 minutes from everything, but the other day we were driving around after going to Lowe's and all of a sudden Blaine got all excited and shouted "Oh my gosh, they have a Steak and Shake". I honestly did not know what he was talking about and thought he had lost his mind. He then pointed to this restaurant that looked like a retro diner. So we stopped for lunch and let me just say it had REALLY good food and was alot of fun for the kids.
So if you ever run across a Steak and Shake, stop in for a bite, you won't be disapointed!!
